Developers and hiring managers often struggle to effectively evaluate GitHub profiles. The lack of a standardized method to assess a developer's contributions, consistency, and technical skills makes it challenging to determine their suitability for a role.
This can lead to inefficient hiring processes and potentially overlooking qualified candidates.
Pain Points
- Lack of standardized evaluation metrics for GitHub profiles.
- Time-consuming process to manually assess a developer's contributions and consistency.
- Difficulty in comparing different profiles objectively.
- Potential for overlooking qualified candidates due to inefficient evaluation methods.
I’ve create a simple chrome extension to determine GitHub’s profile rating with other features like commits , consistency , tech stack , project summary etc and determines a ratio it’s still very early but I wanna try to make it more effective for hiring and just knowing where you stand.
