Hey all, I need advice, I currently have a job in manufacturing. I work around 48-60 hours a week I earn a good Monthly wage however i feel flat. I hate the place I work and the job but I only do it because of money. So many people close to me tell me I’ve got so much more potential. I would love to and do my own thing but my biggest issue is, I have no idea what to learn, sell, or what direction to go in. Advice on how to find your direction because I cannot bare waking up and feeing flat and dread about a job I dispise. Much appreciated folks.
Hey everyone, I’m building an app inspired by the concept of ikigai — the Japanese idea of finding purpose by aligning what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. The goal is to help users explore their own “ikigai map” through guided questions, reflection prompts, and progress tracking. Think of it as a personal purpose coach — combining journaling, self-discovery quizzes, and gentle habit-building to help you move toward a more meaningful life. I’m still in the early stages, so I’d love your thoughts: • What features would make this most valuable to you? • Would you want something more reflective (journaling and prompts) or actionable (goals, habits, career insights)? • Any existing apps you feel already do this well or miss the mark? I’d really appreciate honest feedback from this community — it’ll help shape the next stage of the design.
hi! i desperately want a job in media/social media. my dream scenario would one day being a producer for a content creators channel or something similar. however i am about to begin study and am curious what path would be best to follow to get myself into a position where this is a possible option? i’m currently thinking of either studying a bachelor of communications or a bachelor of arts and majoring in media and communication? what are some more entry level careers that will allow me to gain experience in similar fields? i know becoming a producer for a content creator is going to be extremely competitive to get into, so what are some similar career options i could look into, are things like social media management or even editor or videographer more realistic options to look into? any advice from people in similar positions would be amazing!
