Employees in startups, particularly in lead roles, face uncertainty and financial instability. This problem is prevalent among startup employees who are crucial to the company's success but are not assured of job security or competitive compensation. The consequences include stress, potential financial loss, and career instability.
Pain Points
- Lack of job security due to failed funding rounds.
- Financial instability compared to more established companies.
- Stress and guilt associated with leaving a team that relies on your expertise.
- Concerns about long-term viability of the startup.
- Competitive offers from more stable companies.
I am working on a AI startup for the last 6 months , the founder said they are raising series A when i joined and so far we haven't managed to raise series A. I got another offer from a leading AI lab that's making money. The money is almost double 2x, but i feel guilty to entertain that idea as my current team relies on my expertise . But i worry about long term viability as our competition is funded and we are not. Is leaving in 6 months too bad without any other problems?
