Students, particularly those in higher education, often face immense pressure to perform exceptionally well. This pressure can stem from various sources, including parental expectations and personal ambitions. The constant need to excel can lead to chronic stress, anxiety, and an inability to relax, ultimately affecting mental health and overall well-being.
Pain Points
- Chronic stress and anxiety due to high self-imposed standards.
- Inability to relax and enjoy leisure time due to fear of underperforming.
- Overthinking and constant worry about academic performance.
- Mental health issues such as depression and anxiety disorders.
- Burnout from continuous pressure to achieve top results.
I’m a student at a university and in school I was always pushed to get the best results by my parents. I in fact did. I got the highest diploma grade for my bachelor too. But now that I’m in uni doing my masters and I am just constantly worrying about my assignments. I keep saying I have to be the best otherwise it’s not worth it for me. How do I just stop worrying about it? Because it just makes my life pure hell. How do I stop constantly overthinking about everything I do? Because as things are right now, I can’t even make myself relax, thinking that if I will, something bad will happen.
